A radar doesn't just "see" with waves… it measures time with extreme precision.
Distance, speed, and trajectory of an object are calculated from minute time differences.

Inaccurate synchronization =
- Position error;
- Poor detection;
- Operational risk.

Le BIPM (Bureau international des poids et mesures) récupère les données d’un ensemble d’horloges atomiques réparti dans le monde regroupant ainsi plus de 80 laboratoires et en déduit le temps UTC. Le temps est ainsi ajusté en permanence de quelques nanosecondes, ce qui permet d’aligner l’ensemble des systèmes mondiaux de distribution du temps.
